Accounts Payable Coordinator

The Accounting Assistant will provide service excellence by providing support to the accounting department to ensure the timely processing of data, as well as maintaining the accuracy and integrity of transactions within the accounting system.
This Accounts Payable Coordinator-Contract position will be responsible for maintaining various records, supporting accounting team ensure data integrity, financial record relevance and accuracy. The incumbent will be exposed to many areas of accounting within PMA and will be required to understand how the different roles work together so as to best meet the needs of the department.
**Responsibilities**:
**Key Deliverables**:
- Ensure appropriate coding, gather all supporting invoice documentation
- Enter invoices into D365 system and provide timely and accurate
processing of vendor invoices;
- Proactively identify and solve discrepancies, obtain approvals and follow
up on outstanding issues
- Produce weekly payment runs and maintain all relevant records
- Monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Respond external and internal inquires relate to Accounts Payable
- Maintain financial records/filing of accounting documents to ensure
availability for audit.
- Participate in cross-training among the team, provide backup within the
team as required
- Take all appropriate steps to ensure maintaining positive relationship with
suppliers and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

**Experience Required**:
- 2 years working experience in an accounting or similar role
- Business Degree from a recognized University with a focus in
finance and/or accounting
- Previous experience with D365 Business Central is considered an
asset
