**Some of what you will do**:
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager Merchandise Operations and Support, this position is responsible for the reduction in supply chain expenses through continuous improvement utilizing compliance policies at Staples. The analyst will be responsible for investigating and reporting on all compliance opportunities (vendor chargebacks, fill rate, advance shipping notification accuracy, etc.). The analyst is also to support company objectives to improve compliance KPI’s and resolve vendor inquiries with excellent communication skills.

**Specifically, You Will**:
Compliance:

- Assisting vendors to understand Staples Canada’s compliance policies and expectations relating to product fulfillment in all channels (eCommerce, Distribution, Retail).
- Train new and current vendors as required regarding our compliance policies.
- Proactively working with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve potential compliance opportunities.
- Gaining alignment with internal stakeholders on required steps to address vendor non-compliant issues.
- Review and take appropriate action for any vendor compliance opportunities reported by each fulfillment channel.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively concern and questions from vendors, reducing compliance opportunities while maintaining a healthy relationship with our partners.
- Reviewing and working with the internal stakeholders to update the vendor compliance policy as our business need evolve.
- Ensure full compliance with all Provincial Stewardship programs through data gathering, reporting.

Reporting:

- Develop and communicate a KPI scorecard for vendor compliance and common issues.
- Data analysis to track program and vendor performance.
- Determine cost of compliance opportunities, communicate with internal stakeholders.
- Create action plans and partner with vendors as required to prevent identified problems from reoccurring
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as required.
- Provides any required supporting documentation or reporting for vendor chargebacks due to non-compliance issues.

Communication:

- Partner with vendors to improve advance shipment notification accuracy (ASN) and review license plate receiving (LPR) opportunities.
- Partner with the Merchandising group, Vendors, and the Distribution/Fulfillment Centers and retail stores to resolve vendor disputes.
- Communicate information to Category Managers and other Stakeholders as required, follow-up to ensure opportunities are resolved.
- Collaborate with the Merchant team(s) to ensure a solid understanding of vendor compliance as well as the impact and costs for non-compliant vendors.

**Some of what you need**:

- 1-3 years prior experience vendor compliance related role is preferred.
- Prior supply chain or product stewardship role is an asset.
- Post-Secondary education with a focus on retail management, inventory or supply chain is an asset.
- Team player who achieves results in a collaborative manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively across a variety of stakeholders.
- Highly motivated and natural problem solver.
- Ability to work independently, while completing all tasks.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI), SQL and VBA.
