Property Administrator

Grafton Developments is a local real estate developer with a focus on constructing and redeveloping properties in downtown Halifax. Once constructed these properties are held and managed by the company.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lease administration including updating and maintaining tenant files, filing, tracking rental arrears, tenant correspondence and rental increase letters.
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure that they are signed and executed in a timely manner for new and existing tenants.
- Arrange and track parking and storage space rental and maintain updated availability.
- Daily interaction with building staff, office staff and management.
- Leasing; receive incoming inquiries, track/report and schedule and conduct viewings of apartments for lease. Advertise on-line and promote upcoming vacancies.
- Handle miscellaneous tenant inquiries.
- Draft and send tenant notices.
- Assist with move in and move out procedures, including conducting inspections and processing security deposits.
- Ensure that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process and track invoices for operational costs of multiple properties. This includes utilities, repairs/maintenance, insurances, property taxes and others as needed.
- Record all invoices, obtain payment approval and prepare cheques using QuickBooks software.
- A basic understanding of Excel spreadsheets and the ability to update on an on-going basis.
**Salary**: From $40,000.00 per year
