Assistant Superintendent of Education - Board Math Lead
(12-month term with possible extension based on Ministry funding)
In addition to these responsibilities, the Assistant Superintendent of Education - Board Math Lead is entrusted with the task of ensuring that programs and services integrated into St. Clair Catholic schools align with the board's philosophy of Catholic education. This alignment should be in accordance with the board's mission statement, Strategic Plan, and comply with policies, guidelines, and standards issued by the Ministry of Education. The overall compliance must also adhere to the Acts and Regulations of the province.
Exemplary commitment to the Catholic faith and Catholic education
Progressive leadership experiences with strong communication and interpersonal skills
System leadership and specialized expertise in math
Experience in school improvement, student achievement, and well-being
Administrative role experience in schools
Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders
Instructional coaching and capacity-building in mathematics teaching
Designing and monitoring school and board level learning
Collaborative planning and creative problem-solving skills
Expertise in instructional leadership and commitment to educational programs
Comprehensive experience in school and board-wide activities
Leadership in publicly funded Catholic education
Understanding of the integration between instructional and corporate departments
Ontario Supervisory Officer qualifications, preferably from Catholic Community Delivery Organization (completed or in progress)
Math Specialist qualifications
Master's degree in Mathematics (asset)
Religious Education, Part III certification
Curriculum Vitae;
Ontario College of Teachers - Certificate of Qualifications and Registration;
Copies of all relevant educational and professional credentials;
A written statement of philosophy as it relates to Catholic leadership, teaching and learning;
Current pastoral reference;
Three professional references and written authorization to contact all references (in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act).
