Position Overview: Spiritual Leadership Coordinator

Compensation: Competitive salary range
Role Summary: The Spiritual Leadership Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Catholic Learning Services Department, under the guidance of a Superintendent of Education, to foster and enhance the spiritual development of both students and staff. This role is essential in promoting the mission and strategic objectives of the Board.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Creating opportunities for the community to engage in worship, education, and practical faith applications;
- Collaborating with elementary school leaders and staff to promote faith formation among young learners;
- Coordinating with secondary chaplaincy leaders on various educational and community initiatives;
- Building relationships with local deaneries and the diocese to support faith-based projects;
- Providing assistance to elementary educators in implementing faith-oriented activities;
- Developing and utilizing resources to enhance spiritual education;
- Representing the Board in partnerships with external organizations;
- Organizing retreat experiences for students and staff;
- Supporting the transition of elementary students into secondary education through faith-based initiatives;
- Ensuring visible expressions of faith within the Catholic Education Centre through prayer and liturgical celebrations;
- Leading the planning of significant system-wide masses and educational events;
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies (minimum), with a preference for a Master’s degree in Theology, Divinity, or Religious Education;
- A strong commitment to Catholic doctrine and active participation in church activities;
- A comprehensive understanding of contemporary Catholic theological teachings and liturgical practices;
- Diocesan certification in Youth Ministry or a willingness to obtain it;
- Proven leadership capabilities;
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills;
- Prior experience in diocesan, parish, or educational ministry is preferred.
