**Position Summary... **:Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications, will partner with divisional business partners to develop, deliver and measure communications that support Walmart Canada’s internal and external communications strategy.

The purpose of this job is to support development, delivery and execution of meaningful communication across enterprise (hourly to executive) working with cross-functional teams, supporting content development and project management. In addition, using latest digital tools to integrate and develop brand awareness and understanding of data.

**What you'll do...**:
**Enterprise Communication Infrastructure**
- Support SBU business partners and Canadian leadership team members with various communications needs, including memos, announcements, speeches, LinkedIn articles and enterprise speaking events (YBM, GQC).
- Management/distribution of communications/channels (memos, newsletters, townhalls, etc.) and inboxes, as well as maintenance and updating of communication and messaging calendars, standard operating procedures, etc.
- Manage a media asset library, including archiving of documents & assets, media repository, and brand / communication standards.
- Support crisis management activities, as required

**Digital Management**
- Partner with key stakeholders across the business in the management of our internal digital channels: Workplace, LinkedIn (Walmart Canada), digital TV Screens & digital lock-screens.
- Support content creation & calendar, as well as monitoring of associate reactions / feedback to build the brand.
- Storyboard and create high-level filming including editing for both internal & external use (primary audience internal).
- Utilize digital marketing strategies, they can foster brand awareness, brand recognition and loyalty across a wide-reaching audience.

**Key Project Initiatives**
- Support special projects & events with coordination, project management and content creation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams for various enterprise and business unit specific projects, providing communication advice and counsel, or developing and implementing communication / change plans that deliver a consistent message and tone and achieve program objectives.

**Measurement**
- Conduct regular reviews of communication programs and channels to ensure activities deliver on objectives (social-media, SEO, click rate, conversion etc.).
- Track metrics, develop dashboards/report and refine programs as needed to ensure they remain effective.
- Stay active on latest trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.

**Advice and Counsel**
- Guide and support peers and leaders to solve communication challenges while ensuring overall consistency of strategic direction, positioning and messaging.

**Storytelling**
- Working collaboratively with partners in the business, deliver compelling internal and external communications that helps build the profile of our business and associates and strengthens Walmart Canada’s reputation as an employer of choice and a successful and innovative business.

**Media Relations**
- Build and maintain relationships with media and trade media to help generate positive coverage of the business.
- Work with business partners and control partners such as Legal and Compliance to share proactive news with media that strengthens our brand.

**Qualifications**
- Post graduate certificate or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism or related field
- 3-5 years of experience
- Strong communication skills (writing, editing, speaking) and exceptional attention to detail
- Experience developing/executing communications plans & project managing
- Social media savvy - LinkedIn, Workplace, Instagram & new/emerging tools and platforms
- Solutions oriented, flexible, adaptive to change and ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Customer centric and responsive with high sense of urgency
- Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders, including those at executive level
- Keen desire to learn and take on new challenges
- Self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple competing and shifting priorities
- Bilingualism an asset (not required) ‎
