Furcon is a rapidly growing company who is seeking a HR professional will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth objectives. The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, onboarding, policy implementation, performance management, and employment law compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Developing and implementing HR strategies that support the company's growth objectives, including talent acquisition, retention, and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee engagement.
- Develop, implement, and manage employee motivation and incentive programs to improve employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and assess employee needs, preferences, and expectations in relation to motivation and incentives.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
- Conduct investigations, maintain documentation, and recommend appropriate resolutions of employee relations issues
- Provide support in the planning and implementation of employee training and development programs
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including writing and placing job ads, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
- Onboard new hires, including conducting new hire orientation and facilitating the completion of required documentation
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes, including setting goals and conducting performance evaluations
- Maintain employee records and documentation, including personnel files, employee records, and employment policies and procedures
- Support the administration of benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Assist in the development and communication of company policies and procedures
- Support company culture through planning and coordination of internal and external company events
- Managing the company's payroll system to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, including calculating and deducting taxes, CPP, EI, and other payroll deductions, as well as issuing T4 and T5 slips in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Other related duties as required to support business operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a human resources generalist or related role
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office and Google Suite Software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong organizational and time management skills

**Employment Equity**

**Salary**

$60,000 - $80,000 / year salaried, respectful of your experience and education.

**Location**

Office located in Mississauga, ON. Most work (70-90%) will be done in the office, while the remainder can be performed remotely.

**Schedule**

This role is a 7.5 hour/day, 5 day/week role.
