This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Brampton.

IKO Industries is a manufacturer of quality commercial and residential roofing products and part of the IKO Group of Companies. We presently have a full-time opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team based in Mississauga, Ontario. Remote work is not available for this position.

Position Overview:
The HR Generalist will provide day to day support to the HR Manager and assist with supporting corporate and plant client groups. This is a development role and will provide a great deal of opportunity for learning and professional growth. Role responsibilities will increase in scope, congruent with learning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support, data analysis and reports to the HR Manager
- Provide day to day support to employees
- Conduct new hire onboarding and regulatory training
- Maintain employee records in Workday
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives
- Adhere to the consistent interpretation of Company policies, procedures and programs
- Make recommendations for improvement of policies, procedures and programs
- Participates in the development and delivery of communications to the HR team and client groups
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- A college diploma or university degree, specializing in Human resources is preferred
- 3 years’ experience working in Human Resources
- Working towards CHRP designation preferred

Required Skills and Competencies
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to multi task and effectively manage rapidly changing priorities
- Understanding and knowledge of ESA in Ontario, Human Rights Code, and OHSA
- Ability to organize workload effectively
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Proficient in MS Office
