As a doctoral student, you will work jointly with interns, M.Sc., Ph.D. and postdoc in the study of DNA with a combination of characterization techniques in solution and on substrates. These experiments will provide information on DNA affinity, as well as sensitivity and stability. Your research project will provide you with training and development in:

- Solution based techniques (fluorescence, UV-vis, calorimetry, etc.)
- Surface techniques (SPR and electrochemistry)
- Biomolecule modification, characterization and purification
- Programming, computational chemistry and machine learning

En tant qu’étudiant au doctorat, vous travaillerez conjointement avec des stagiaires, M.Sc., Ph.D. et postdoc dans l'étude de séquences d'ADN avec une combinaison de techniques de caractérisation en solution et sur substrats. Les expériences réalisées fourniront de l’information sur l'affinité, leur sensibilité et leur stabilité. Votre projet de recherche vous fournira une formation et un perfectionnement sur:

- Techniques en solution (fluorescence, UV-vis, calorimétrie, etc.)
- Techniques de surface (SPR et électrochimie)
- Techniques de modification de biomolécules
- Programmation, chimie computationnelle et apprentissage automatique

- Université de SherbrookeLab work will be conducted under the mentorship of professor Philippe Dauphin Ducharme in the Chemistry Department of Université de Sherbrooke or at the Pharmacology institute of the Université de Sherbrooke (Québec), Canada, although visits or internships could be envisioned with our collaborators to complement training.

The Université de Sherbrooke is ranked at the 14th place in Canada based on the research income, making it a well known establishement in Canada for its excellence in research and the high premium put on teaching and mentoring by professors. The student will have access to a plethora of state-of-the-art characterization techniques in the fields electrochemistry, spectroscopy, organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry (potentiostats, magnetic resonance imaging, fluorimeter, calorimeter, circular dichroism, NMR, LC-MS, etc.).
