**What will your duties as an Event Cook entail?**
- Knows how to operate various stations such as cold/fry, flat top/grill/broiler, and prep/line set up.
- Prepare fresh ingredients, create unique event recipes, and only send out high-quality dishes on time. At all times, keep the workplace safe, sanitary, and clean.
- Collaborate with the team and communicate, calmly, and frequently.
- Learn about food costing and time management as you gain experience in the business side of cooking.

- A desire to come up with a solution after identifying the problem.
- Work with a group of individuals that share your values and have your best interests at heart.
- Other kitchen duties as may be assigned.

**Education**: Completion of high school, a Journeyman Certificate, or Alberta Red Seal is an advantage but not necessary. Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license

**Experience**: At least four years of diverse commercial cooking experience is required.

**Skills**: Must be able to devise a strategy for achieving goals. Good communication skills are required. Ability and willingness to perform a variety of physical tasks are required. The ability to coordinate, organize, instruct, assign work, evaluate performance, and set standards is also required.

**Special clothing and equipment**: Kitchen uniforms for Food Services. Individuals must supply their tools.

**Special Working Conditions**: Hot temperature exposure.

**Working hours**: Hours will vary depending on the level of business, and generally an on-call/casual status but we'll notify you in far advance as much as possible. Early morning, evening, and weekend work is required throughout the year depending on a load of catering & events.

**Job Types**: Casual, Seasonal, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
