Family Physician office in Grimsby seeking Medical Office Manager to join our leadership team. Our office provides broad scope primary care in a team of family physicians, nurses, and administrative staff. We are looking for an individual with at least 3 years’ experience as a leader in a medical practice environment. We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic Office Manager who can continue to lead, guide, and motivate our team to provide excellent care. Knowledge about Oscar EMR is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Human Resource Management including performance appraisal
- Oversee successful management of all front desk activities
- Oversee physicians scheduling in office and the hospital call system
- Managing and Scheduling staff
- Billings and Account receivable
- Patient Relations, compliments and complaints
- Reporting - preparing regular reports and submissions to required organizations
- Manage all facilities and technical support issues
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Ability to fill in at any position within the front administrative staff
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Fire Safety Checking
- Workplace Harassment and Human Rights Code Procedures implementation
- Employment Standards Act compliance
- Privacy requirements / PHIPA

Qualifications and Skills:

- Strong organizational skills
- Calm under pressure
- Takes initiative
- Adaptable and open to change
- Experience managing a team
- Excellent communications kills (written and verbal)
- Good technical skills (phone, fax, computer, printers)
- Medical office or healthcare experience
- WHMIS training
- IPAC guideline knowledge
- Oscar EMR experience is an asset but not required
- Physician Billing Knowledge an asset but not required

**Experience**:

- Medical Office: 3 years or more (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
