Position Summary

The Project Manager is the primary point-person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering corporate projects on time, within budget, and in accordance to specifications.

Position Functions

  • Coordinate jobs and set up meetings.
  • Review all contract documents and latest set of drawings and addendums.
  • Compare construction drawings and estimate drawings for any changes.
  • Develop, in conjunction with detailing department, and maintain the shop drawing schedule
  • Review shop drawings for general conformance and construction sequencing requirements.
  • Review of changes to contract and ensure that extras and credits are processed and approved in a timely manner.
  • Attend job site meetings as required for the project.
  • Download and process all information from detailing department and send to fabrication.
  • The above functions to be prepared on multiple projects.
  • Produce monthly project status reports for review.

Working Conditions

The successful incumbent will be working 40+ hours per week in an office setting as well as outside of the office. On-going use of computer is required. Travel may be required including overnight stays outside of Ontario.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology or equivalentexperience.
  • 5+ years of direct work experience in project management.
  • Direct experience in the rebar field is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods.
