This position is based out of our Edmonton Office.

What You Will Be Working On- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and schedule.- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best value for the organization.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to schedule and forecast material and equipment needs for projects.- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and safety requirements in the procurement process.- Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers, resolving issues and promoting continuous improvement.- Assess and mitigate risks related to the supply chain, such as potential disruptions, price fluctuations, and quality issues.- Conduct cost analysis and risk reviews to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.- Create purchase orders, and other procurement documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.- Implementing procurement strategies to fulfill project requirements and timelines.- Collaborate with the site team to negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best value.- Maintain supplier performance metrics to track delivery times, quality, and other KPI’s.- Assist the Estimating team by sending out RFX packages for proposal pricing.- Coordinate and communicate with site teams to ensure procurement needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

What We Are Looking For- 5+ years of purchasing experience.- SCMP designation or enrollment in the SCMP program is considered an asset- Construction industry experience is considered an asset.- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supply chain management principles- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and track orders.- Effective communication skills- Ability to handle disputes or issues with suppliers during the procurement process.- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
