**Status**: Temporary Casual (3 Months)
**Reports to**: Sr Manager, Laboratory Operations - Molecular Diagnostics & Genetics
**Discipline**: Genetics
This is for an existing vacancy.
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Analyse results (Sanger, NGS, MLPA and qPCR) for clinical reporting.
- Involve in implementation, testing and operations of Generics Laboratory Information Management System (GLIMS) used to manage data and workflow in clinical specimen acquisition, handling and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data acquisition, analysis and reporting processes.

**What you bring to the role**:

- Post-Graduate or Masters Degree in Bioinformatics, Genetics or a related field.
- PhD preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience (Graduate research work will be considered as work experience as long as its relevant to DNA sequencing and/or analysis).
- Detailed understanding of human genetics and molecular biology.
- Proficiency with online resources (such as HGMD, PubMed, OMIM, Medline) and mutation databases.
- Academic or working experience with molecular techniques, DNA sequencing and NGS experience preferred.
- Working experience in a clinical environment or diagnostic lab is an asset.
