CM3 is a locally owned Environmental engineering/consulting firm that provides professional advice to clients who insure, manage, develop or market real property and buildings in the Ottawa Area and Eastern Ontario, including Kingston and the Seaway area.

Experience is considered an asset; however, this position targets a junior professional that is highly organized and motivated to work in a fast-paced work environment, and who shares our passion for promoting a safe work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Complete hazardous building material surveys (designated substances / asbestos)
- Operate and maintain monitoring equipment such as air pumps, and sampling instruments
- Site inspection, monitoring and data collection
- Preparing reports on the above noted work within established deadlines
- Understand the Occupational Health and Safety Act, specifically regulations pertaining to asbestos and other hazardous materials
- Familiarity with construction techniques and methods to allow for monitoring them to ensure compliance
- Working with trades and inspecting job sites
- Some physical requirements (working with tools, ladders)
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:
Valid Driver’s License and full-time access to a vehicle

Diploma or degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, Health and Safety, or a related field.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (bilingual is an asset)

Ability to identify, define and measure a variety of environmental components, to perform analyses and calculations and to assist in interpreting results and significance of data.

Understand scientific process, and sampling methodologies (bulk, surface, and air).

Ability to input, manipulate and retrieve data and maintain records and documents related to the work.

Ability to perform physical work in all types of weather and workspaces (i.e., at heights, confined spaces)

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
