**Permanent Full-time (1.0 FTE, 35 hours/week) Business Services Development Clerk**

**Start Date**:Commencing as soon as possible.

**Work Location**:Bluewater District School Board Education Centre, Business Services Development, Chesley, Ontario (hybrid work program)

**Supervisor**:Renee Oullette, Business Services Development Manager

**Position Summary**:**

The Business Services Development Clerk provides support, assistance, and training to Bluewater District School Board staff in development of business services’ priorities including business process improvements, workflow analysis, modernization projects that deliver quality education to the students of Bluewater.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:**

Provide analysis, support, and assistance to stakeholders on value-add opportunities including modernization of services, risk management, business development and sustainability

Support the development, implementation and maintenance of best practices and efficient processes to ensure optimal resource management, compliance with regulators and board policies

Analyze and report on internal processes, provide training to stakeholders

Support Business Services departments and external departments/schools on common projects, process changes and concept development

Contribute to training and professional development of Business Services that fosters an environment for innovation, creativity, continuous improvement, and problem solving

Analyze, report and support risk management strategies and modeling

Assist in development of funding and revenue opportunities

Prepare ad hoc analysis under strict time constraints to support business decisions

Support strategic relationships with service providers, partners, government agencies and stakeholders

Foster connections, provide leadership and training assistance within business services, schools, and other stakeholders

Support multiple complex projects, contributing to timely deliverables and outcome

Provide high level support in the form of problem analysis and resolution

Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Experience**:**

Post-secondary degree/diploma in a Business or Business-Related Field (including Technology)

Minimum of five years’ experience in a unionized public sector environment or school board supporting business processes improvements

**Assets**:**

Knowledge of relevant board policies, operating procedures and Ministry of Education regulations and directives

Knowledge of school board information systems, or enterprise resource systems and 0365

Ability to learn new technologies, often using a self-teaching approach

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to professionally interact with staff at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders

Self-motivated and directed with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Must have access to an automobile and valid driver’s license to meet work expectations

**Job Requirements**:
Valid driver’s license.

Clean vulnerable sector police check.

Access to a reliable vehicle.
