We are looking for a Dispatcher with a passion for sales and customer service to support our Concrete Team.

**About the role**

The Dispatcher/Sales Consultant will be responsible for selling concrete through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas and business targets, and the scheduling and dispatch of drivers / concrete trucks in a fast-paced, high-call volume office environment.
- As a Sales Consultant, this role will be responsible for:_
- Maintaining an elevated level of customer service
- Providing excellent customer service to support and create year-over-year sales growth
- Working with prospective and existing clients to determine their requirements and obtain feedback on our services via inbound and outbound calls
- Conduct professional, engaging sales presentations over the phone
- Answer questions and offer suggestions to prospective and regular customers based on a thorough knowledge of the product line and emphasize product/service features and benefits
- Offer additional products/services to customers related to the sale or their project
- As a Dispatcher, this role will be responsible for: _
- Strategically scheduling and dispatching concrete trucks from all locations with goal to book the most timely service possible (e.g. working with customers to organize and schedule orders accurately and efficiently, and reacting quickly to changing delivery demands) to meet objectives

**Requirements**:

- 1-3 years of experience (sales and or/dispatch)
- Knowledge of the concrete industry considered an asset
- Transportation industry knowledge and experience an asset (e.g. shipping/receiving, scheduling, freight negotiations and regulatory requirements)
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas considered an asset
- Intermediate computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
- Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Professional demeanour, and selling style
- Flexible, able to deal with change
- Very organized, with excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

**Working Conditions**
- Regularly scheduled workdays: Monday to Friday with availability to support on Saturdays if required
- Hours: starting at 1:00 pm and working until the last truck is parked in the yard (variable end time based on customer requirements) or 5:00 pm (whichever is later). This is an hourly role and hours can vary between 35-50 hours per week (eligible for OT after 44 hours)
- May be required to work an alternative schedule to support vacations or sick days
- Spring to Fall Season is extremely busy: must be able to work overtime when required or when schedule demands
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Extended periods of sitting
- High noise levels when working outdoors
- Regular exposure to conditions including heat, humidity, rain, cold, snow, and dust
- Repetitive work
- High levels of stress and pressure
- Use of required personal protective equipment, specifically Safety boots (CSA Green triangle patch and CSA White rectangle with orange Greek letter omega - Ω) are required
