**Job Summary**

ONHC is a proud program of SWCHC that provides healthcare, offers timely, coordinated and, and culturally appropriate health and social services to newcomers. Our approach to care is through a health equity lens with a focus on addressing the social determinants of health to improve the lives and wellbeing of our clients.

The Clinical Coordinator, Ottawa Newcomer Health Centre, is responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of triage and vaccination clinics supporting clients both at the Ottawa Newcomer Health Centre as well as staff and clients at the point of arrival locations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to coordinating clinical staff for offsite clinics, ordering clinic supplies and vaccines, performing assessments, telephone triage, and supporting stakeholders, clients, and their families.

**Education**
- Registered Nurse, current license with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR

**Professional Experience**
- Three to five years’ experience in community nursing
- Previous clinic coordination experience an asset

**Key Competencies**
- Sensitivity to multicultural issues
- Knowledge of primary health care and the social determinants of health
- Able to work effectively in an inter-professional environment
- Experience working with disadvantaged communities
- Knowledge of acts or legislation that govern practice: Registered Health Professionals Act (RHPA), Nursing Act, CNO Standards of Nursing Practice, Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), Mental Health Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) practices

**Language Capacity**
- English required
- French or other language(s) an asset

**Personal Suitability**
- Commitment to the principles of health equity, inclusion, and anti-racism/anti-oppression
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Must be comfortable working in a busy environment with multiple demands
- Proficient use of computers and various software Telus PS Suites an asset
- Successful completion of Police record check
