Job Summary:
The Block Administrator, Crew Resources is responsible for overseeing and assisting with the day to day payroll, legality, and administrative functions, ensuring that legality issues are satisfied prior to the departure of any Porter flight and that coding is correct for pay purposes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Perform continuous audits and adjustments of daily Crew Schedules to verify Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Porter FOAG compliancy.
- Update crew information for payroll, complete daily payroll audits and prepare reports on a bi-weekly basis.
- Calculate, process, and audit crew payroll transactions such as credit adjustments, training premiums, sick time, leaves of absence, terminations, etc.
- Assist flight crew with schedule related requests and process trip trades.
- Manage administrative functions for the Crew Resources department, including, but not limited to monthly reserve type allocation, hotel invoice reconciliation, and verifying Porter’s Master Crew List.
- Maintain crew payroll inbox and respond promptly to inquiries, managing sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, using discretion and judgment.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of any manual payroll proces and with systems’ development and implementation.
- Assist with coverage of the Crew Scheduling desk during vacations, absences, or gaps in the schedule.
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operation; understand, comply with and promote the Company Safety Policy.
- Other Duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Crew Scheduling.

Qualifications:

- Minimum one year of experience as a Crew Scheduler/Planner.
- Knowledge of CARs crewing regulations. Knowledge of Porter’s FOAG and Navblue N-OC is an asset.
- Works well under pressure, performs and coordinates multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to identify problems, their sources and the potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, shift work and overtime if necessary.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written and the ability to uphold professional demeanour while maintaining assertiveness.
- Dependability.
- Energetic, self-starter.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
