This is an opportunity to join our team as a **Underwriting Assistant -4 month Student (Summer 2023)**

**This is a hybrid position requiring to you work in the office a minimum of 2 days a week. This position is located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.**

What you’ll do here:

- Provide support to regional underwriters, underwriting assistants, and the larger teams in a variety of capacities including but not limited to processing transactions
- Provide legendary customer service to both our external and internal clients.
- Direct inquiries and assignments to the appropriate individual or unit.
- Perform other ad hoc duties or projects as assigned by your manager.

This role will offer you the chance to:

- Experience first-hand what it’s like to work in our Underwriting department and discover more about how advances in technology are shaping the way the insurance business works.

What you bring to the table:

- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or College Degree in the Fall 2023 semester; those graduating in or before April 2023 will be considered graduates and will not be eligible for this opportunity.
- Customer focused with excellent listening and communication skills.
- Eager to learn and not afraid to ask questions.
- Self-driven and capable of working on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Agile and flexible to changing business needs.
- Able to foster strong working relationships in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong computer skills and capable of navigating through various systems.
