ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this position is responsible for administering the flow of product through the corporate supply chain network.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor daily inventory levels and volume demand to determine replenishment quantities
- Review logistics requirements to determine most cost-effective replenishment options to maximize efficiency
- Monitor and investigate Distribution Center inventory adjustments for stock level variances
- Verify new vendor and item information for input into computerized inventory system
- Analyze product requirements for seasonality and special promotions
- Understand replenishment volumes including ocean shipment (container) schedules
- Work with external vendors and internal departments to ensure product availability to meet inventory targets
- Develop strong vendor relationships and provide vendor performance feedback to merchandising department
- Ensure effective and timely external communications with vendors, including but not limited to, order confirmations, late deliveries, product availability
- Ensure effective and timely internal communications with all internal stake holders to ensure ongoing alignment, transfer, collection of key information, and consistent project status awareness within the Supply Chain team
- Stay current on industry trends and legislation that directly impacts our Company and communicate information to management
- Initiate purchase orders in accordance with vendor lead times, transit times and Company Operating Policies and Procedures
- Ensure the effective flow of products in a timely manner through the Corporate Supply Chain Network
- Promotes and works to maintain workplace wellness, health and safety, through active compliance with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Other duties and projects as required
Education & Skills
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain or related field
- 3-5 years’ supply chain replenishment experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a highly organized and detailed oriented environment
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong integrity, ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information
- Experience in the retail/grocery sector, an asset
- Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow through with all assignments from start to finish with mínimal supervision
- Well-developed communication skills (written, spoken and presentations)
