**MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST - BILINGUAL (EN & FRE)**

**Your Key Responsibilities**:
**General responsibilities**:

- Writing and editing internal and external communication materials.
- Provide logístical support and interact with stakeholders to ensure initiatives are consistent and well-coordinated in support of the organization's objectives.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to communication standards, guidelines, and processes.
- Development and implementation of project plans, initiatives and tactics that align with Circular Materials’ objectives.
- Support the development of communications and marketing plans and strategies.
- Review marketing and communications materials and programs to identify gaps and opportunities, and provide recommendations on new tools, platforms, and best practices.
- Support translation of marketing and communication initiatives, including accuracy verifications from content delivered from external vendors.

**Marketing responsibilities**:

- Provide support for the development of recycling awareness campaigns and educational materials.
- Assist with market research, development of creative briefs, project management and liaising with vendors and stakeholders on promotion and education initiatives.
- Provide graphic design support and manage final designs to a production-ready state for web and print.
- Support social media management and content creation.
- Coordinate and manage events such as stakeholder webinars, consultations, conferences, sponsorships, community events team, etc.
- Track and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of Circular Materials’ marketing strategies.

**Corporate Communication responsibilities**:

- Ensure communications are clear, concise, and accurate.
- Support the development of corporate communications collateral/messaging for a variety of audiences, including reports, communication materials, project plans and presentations.
- Support writing and publishing content on Circular Materials’ website (WordPress).
- Assist with the development of communication plans.
- Assist with media monitoring and tracking.
- Track and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of Circular Materials’ communications strategies.

**Other responsibilities**:

- Ensure internal and external communications are consistent and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Support the maintenance of department resource files and stakeholder contact lists.
- Create and maintain corporate graphics, templates, letterheads, etc. that adhere to brand guidelines for internal and external use.
- Ongoing maintenance of stakeholder resources.
- Assist with special projects as required.

**Internal Relationship**
- Marketing Communications team.
- Other Circular Materials team members as required.

**External Relationships**
- Advertising/marketing agencies and other vendors.
- Print, design, media, and other suppliers.
- Producers, municipalities, First Nations communities and service providers.

**What you bring**:
**Education**:

- Degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.

**Experience**:

- 3-6 years’ experience working in a corporate communications or marketing environment.
- Experience developing and executing creative marketing and advertising campaigns.
- Experience in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on campaigns, social media, and other communication platforms.
- Familiarity with and experience using design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. Video editing experience an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools.

**Knowledge/Competencies/Skills**:

- Required: fluent in English and Canadian French.
- In-depth knowledge of communication protocols and best practices.
- Knowledge of website, visual design, and social media.
- Strong relationship building, collaboration, and team building skills.
- Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal with the ability to tailor as appropriate for the needs of the audience to convey messages effectively and accurately.
- Strong commitment to service delivery.
- Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
- A self-manager with the ability to juggle several key initiatives simultaneously with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
- High performer with the right attitude and the desire to grow and learn.
- Creative team player who’s not afraid to think outside the box.
- Digitally savvy, trend-seeking individual.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
