Position Overview

**Responsibilities**:
- Utilize the City’s enterprise ESB and ETL tools to establish data integration workflows for data movement, transformation and integration across multiple databases, including the BI solution.- Working closely with the Data Modeler, contribute to the ETL components of data mart builds in the BI solution.- Participate in development and testing for utilization of ESB and ETL technologies within the enterprise BI solution stack.- Work closely with the BI team to define and construct the data and data mart objects to support reporting, system and end user functions in the BI solution. Suggest data integration performance benchmarks and develop methods for the automation of data integration quality measurement across the organization.-
- Continually develop skills in the City’s enterprise ESB and ETL data integration technologies, and stay informed on new developments in data integration technology.

**Requirements**:
- Applicants require a University Degree with emphasis on Computer Science, Data Science, Data Management and Architecture, Quantitative Analysis, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering.-
- Experience with data modelling and mapping.- Must be familiar with the principles of dimensional data modelling and relational database design.- Technically proficient in SQL, Oracle and Python programming languages. Competency with XML constructs and schemas.- Familiarity and experience with iWay Data Migrator and iWay Service Manager from Information Builders is also an asset.- ITIL certification is considered an asset.
