**Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join our team. The Safety & Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Safety Director and assist the Safety Managers. This role is crucial in maintaining driver safety records, driver hiring, organizing training materials, supporting compliance, ensuring driver documents are up to date, and implementing safety procedures. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with Drivers, Owner Operators and Mechanics to ensure trucks are safe and in compliance with provincial and federal regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety incidents, accidents, and violations
- Organize and file documentation related to driver qualifications, CVOR/abstracts, training records, and vehicle inspections
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations on safety performance and compliance metrics
- Enter safety-related data and driver information into Fleet Manager, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Assist in analyzing safety data to identify trends, areas if improvement, and compliance issues
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating safety training sessions for drivers and staff
- Prepare training material, including presentations, handouts, and videos
- Support compliance efforts by assisting with audits, inspections, and regulatory filings
- Serve as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries from drivers, owner operators, and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with other departments, such as dispatch, mechanics, and human resources, to address safety-related issues and initiatives
- Maintain safety-related documents, manuals, and reference materials
- Strong understanding of State/Provincial laws relating to load restrictions

**Requirements and Skills**
- College diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in administrative or safety related field is a plus
- Previous experience in safety, preferably in a transportation or safety-focused environment
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements in the trucking industry (e.g., DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively
- Good command of MS Office operating systems (Excel, Word, and Outlook) with an ability to quickly learn new operating platforms/systems
- Knowledge of different transportation laws and regulations within Canada and the USA
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision

**Hours of Work**
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- Weekly hours may vary depending on operational/business needs
- Occasional weekend availability
