Georgina, Canada Routes Connecting Communities Full time

**Purpose**:
The Community Engagement Lead
- Georgina CAT (CEL- Georgina CAT) will work with the leadership team to engage residents in the community, support outreach, coordinate meetings with a variety of stakeholders and completes the client intake processes.

**Accountability**:
The primary team for the Community Engagement Lead will be the Community Action Table Projects. The CEL reports to the Manager, Community Action Tables.

**Hours of Work**:
40 hours per week, with evening and weekend work as required. Flexible hours and hybrid of in office and in community. Travel within Georgina and Newmarket required

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the implementation of neighborhood activities through resident and agency led grants (Quick Action Grants)
- Conduct outreach and be present in the community; represent the organization at community events
- Support Community Ambassadors
- Provide support to residents in completing reporting post neighbourhood activities
- Promote Community Action Table initiatives in the community
- Provide administrative support to the Georgina CAT and its working groups
- Other duties as assigned and required for Routes’ Operations

**Role Requirements**:

- Post secondary degree or diploma, required
- Competency in project management, required
- Outgoing and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and strong time management skills
- Proficiency with social media and digital platforms such as MS Office
- Ability to work independently
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends at community events
- Demonstrated experience leading outreach, resident and community engagement
- Understanding and familiarity with Georgina, especially Northern Georgina (Sutton, Jackson’s point), an asset

**Salary**: $50,000.00 per year
