The Manager of Talent Acquisition is a new role, so if you’re the kind of person who likes to create and put your own stamp on things and is motivated by results, we’re interested in talking to you. Reporting to the Director of People Leadership and Culture, you’ll have overall accountability for talent management from sourcing and recruiting with a focus on values alignment, through to training, performance management, engagement and retention.
- Works with the Director, to set direction and strategies to secure the best possible talent to support our mission and growth
- Is accountable for the end-to-end process in recruiting including maintaining applicant tracking system, recruiting reports and other staffing administration
- Develops strong diversity recruitment programs - actively seeks diverse applicants that are under-represented and reflect the community we work and live in
- Designs and facilitates employee onboarding that is engaging and that ensures processes and standards are followed, and that cultural integration is nurtured - conducts periodic audits to ensure standards are being met
- Researches and stays up to date with what employees want today from their employer; makes recommendations to the leadership team on what innovative practices can be implemented (example: matching program for charities, time off to volunteer)
- Works with the Director to develop progressive career development programs to retain talent and reduce attrition
- Designs simple processes with high impact for leaders to use with their onboarding and orientation

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
You have experience in the retail or hospitality industry and understand what it’s like to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. We’re looking for 3-5 years or more of talent management experience with a strong track record in recruiting and engagement.

A degree in a relevant field (HR or Business) and/or a combination of professional development in people leadership and talent management.
