ABA Scarborough looking for an energetic and passionate Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) to join our team ASAP We are a proudly neurodiversity-affirming organization and we are looking to hire like-minded individuals. The selected CDA will implement treatment plans as outlined by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Excellent problem solving, communication, interpersonal skills, time management skills, organizational, and team player abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in working with children of all ages.
- Strong collaboration and time management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Recent Police Check / Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Valid First Aid & CPR certificate
- CPI certification is an asset
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and desire to engage in continuing education practices
- Has the flexibility to work regular business hours, and Saturdays.
- Bilingual applicants considered an asset
- Currently Centre based - must adhere to COVID-19 protocols and practices.
- Ability to easily build rapport with clients and their families, as well as coworkers. Company culture is important

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide treatment to assigned patients under supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Prepare activities and materials accordingly, including forms of Augmentative and Alternative Communication
- Coach parents to learn and implement strategies that support their child’s development
- Maintain clinical records in SOAP format that meet standards of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
- Delivering ongoing assessments and evidence based services directly to the child/ family/caregiver.
- Providing evidence-based therapy intervention, tracking progress
- Supporting the recommendations made by supervising SLP regarding speech and language programming, accommodations, resources, and modifications for children and their families.
- Supporting children with challenges in speech sound production, fluency, and interactive communication
- Actively engaging children and caregivers to address communication goals
- Providing fun intervention and innovative therapy activities and games to target speech goals based on the child’s interests and abilities
- Reports to work on time to achieve maximum performance standards according to company guidelines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only
