**Construction Project Coordinator - Nova Paving**

Nova Paving (Sask) Ltd. is a well-established construction company based in Regina, Saskatchewan working in the heavy civil construction industry. We are currently looking for a **Project Coordinator** to join our team for the upcoming season. This is a seasonal position with a projected start date of April 17, 2023 through to October 30, 2023.

Reporting to the Project Management Team, this position is responsible for overseeing complete construction activities for assigned projects; ensuring work is completed safely, within schedule and budget in association with the General Superintendent and Project Manager and in a manner consistent with company values, policies, and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create, monitor, update, track and interpret project data including contracts, schedules, and budgets.
- Assist with monthly reporting on assets under contract.
- Stay informed of current industry and market trends including all fees related to Municipalities.
- Coordinate project deliverables.
- Coordinates crew activities, studies production schedules, and estimates work requirements for completion of job assignment in compliance with or beating the job estimate.
- Maintains time and materials records necessary to complete daily job costing, prepares progress reports, material used, cost and adjusts work schedule accordingly.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and crew performance.
- Maintains work schedule spreadsheets on a daily basis and updates on a weekly basis.
- Be able to communicate with management team and keep project on time and on budget
- Be able to read blueprints and layout a project to gain the maximum production and quality.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and communicate effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills and attributes.
- Perform field measurements, calculate materials and track quantities for job costing.
- Verifies that all company policies and established procedures are followed by the foreman, laborers.
- Verifies that all company safety procedures are followed.
- Ability to type and use Microsoft based computer software (Word, Excel).
- Keep crews working safely, daily toolbox talks.
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written) and a proven ability to work closely with engineers, managers, subcontractors, customers, employees, and vendors.
- Communicate with the General Superintendent and Project Manager with any change orders and any project needs.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to multitask.

**Qualifications**
- Construction/Grading/Paving/Excavation Experience Required: 3-5 years or an equivalent combination of education and training.
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation considered an asset.

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
