**What You Will Do**
The Director of Communications role is an excellent opportunity to structure and build out a function that is a key part of the corporate culture and objectives. You will lead and participate in strategic and innovative projects that will impact internal and external stakeholders. In particular, you will contribute directly to supporting capital raising efforts. The role is part of the CEO office, reporting to the firm's Chief of Staff.
- Create, lead and deploy successful communication plans for various investment strategies, brand integrations, events, ecosystem initiatives and other notable projects.
- Build, plan and execute current & forward-looking strategies relating to marketing and internal & external communication strategies, in close collaboration with the leadership team.
- Assess the current state of the marketing and communications structure; build and implement any new processes, tools & structures to drive the execution of the communications (marcom) strategy.
- Harmonize and calibrate the consistency of messaging and branding across all channels and formats.
- Lead and coordinate external communications and public relations projects and initiatives including;
- Consistent content and brand strategy for websites and social media channels.
- Conferences & events: profile raising for members of the leadership team and members of the Capital Formation (fundraising) team.
- Strategic communications planning for senior leaders, including coordination with media.
- Leading planning and logistics for key corporate events (e.g. AGM), external meetings and key conferences.
- Collaborating with Investment leaders as well as Investor Relations & Capital Formation teams to target audiences and formulate key messaging for content creation and investment product positioning.
- Lead and deliver multiple projects including establishing and tracking project plans, including tasks, timelines, resource allocation and risk management.
- Oversee external service providers and assigned initiatives in media relations, translation, website design and maintenance.
- Monitor and control the department's budget and expenses, including reviewing service-level agreements and external service providers as well as proposing new budget items to meet the firm's objectives.
***Who you are**
- A Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration or another related field combined with strong experience is essential. Past industry experience in asset management, financial services or investments is preferred.
- More than 10 years of experience in communications with at least 4 to 7 years of demonstrated experience leading strong teams in communications and/or public and corporate affairs.
- Proven experience in both internal and external communications, marketing communications and brand integrations with experience in public affairs and issues management considered a strong asset.
- A demonstrated track record of excellence in delivering consistent results at scale with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different time zones.
- A demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies while collaborating across the different lines of business in the company.
- Resourceful and results-oriented with an exceptional sense of rigor and detail.
- An exceptional ability to pivot and deliver strategies and solutions quickly and with resolution, displaying strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Perfectly bilingual in English and French.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and clarity.
