Tetra Tech Canada Inc. is looking for full time **Payroll Administrator** to join our Shared Services team in our corporate head office based in Edmonton, Alberta. The Payroll Administrator will be a key member of a strong Payroll team and will be responsible for processing for multiple payroll companies from the beginning of the payroll cycle to the end.

**Your Role**:

- Process payroll for multiple payroll companies
- Ensure accuracy of employee data in ADP payroll system
- Set up new hire files
- Process terminations & prepare Record of Employment
- Process payroll garnishments
- Ensure accuracy of earnings and deductions each payroll cycle
- Process special pay as required
- Process required adjustments
- Provide back up for timesheet administration on Oracle
- Identify and resolve payroll issues
- Respond to payroll questions from employees
- Create and/or run reports from ADP payroll system
- Complete Account Reconciliations for assigned accounts
- Assist employees with accessing electronic pay statements and T4s
- Filing and other administrative duties, as required

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) with Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) is required
- Experience with ADP Payroll system
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience in processing hourly and salaried payroll
- Understanding of the full payroll cycle is a must
- Understanding of basic accounting is an asset
- Knowledge of payroll legislation for various provinces and ability to research legislation
- Strong computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office, specifically Excel
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Able to work on a team and independently
- Effective problem solving & organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Detail oriented and ability to work with tight timelines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with employees at various levels of the organization
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in an appropriate manner

**Additional Information**

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
