**Your Role and Responsibilities**

In this role, you'll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. These centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Position Summary and Responsibilities:
- Leads team on a collection of complex small projects, medium size projects or large projects. Works according to plans developed or translates those portions of client requirements they are responsible for into plans to culminate in client acceptance of results and meeting business objectives.
- Responsible for performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality, and appropriate business measurements for their project/segment of the project, according to their project charter. In applicable areas of the business, responsibility for revenue and profit objectives of the project.
- Works with the client or as a team member with the client or within the team to identify business requirements and develops the proposal.
- May lead projects in the role of the Client Project Management (PM) with responsibility of all IBM, client and 3rd party vendor resources. Subsequently leads a team in the initiating, planning, controlling, executing, and closing tasks of a project (or segment of a project) to produce the solution deliverable.
- Execute a wide range of process activities beginning with the request for proposal through development, test and final delivery.
**Skills**:
- Knowledge of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Process Groups
- Initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.
- Knowledge of current Project Management methodologies.
- Understands department / function resources, priorities, and policies and applies this understanding to project activities.
- Working knowledge in business matters, finance, planning, forecasting and personnel in order to manage team staff and business issues.
Communication/Negotiation:
- Engaged as a professional who advises others and works with team members to articulate, compare, and implement solutions and alternative approaches based upon project management principles. Team members might include client IT, client business areas, supplier and IBM staff.
- Negotiates effectively with team members to define the team's goals, work content and schedules.
- Communicates team results to management.
- Establishes and maintains mechanisms to communicate project status and change with the project team, client and other staff, including Steering Committee meetings.
- Must be able to effectively communicate resource needs and project issues with client management / project management.
Problem Solving:
- Recognizes and articulates complex problems related to the project / segment of the project or function.
- Applies creativity and judgment in development of multiple solutions related to project objectives utilizing recognized project management techniques.
- As appropriate, challenges the validity of procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement.
Contributions/Leadership
- Defines and decides objectives related to the project or segment of a large project from a cost, schedule, technical and quality perspective.
- Provides guidance in this area to others.
Must be located onsite at our IBM office in Bedford, Nova Scotia
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Build and manage an Integrated Project Plan for Multiple integration partners;
- Identify and manage dependencies between partners and the program
- Track within project with timelines and interlock with program plan
- Report into program lead, provide status reports and ad-hoc reporting to leadership team
- Able to identify critical path and potential impacts to the program critical path
- Familiar with waterfall and agile techniques
- Work with Scrum Masters to ensure key risks, issues, and dependencies that need to resolved outside POD structure are raised in a timely manner
