The **Community Animator** will be responsible for **increasing social participation and engagement for low-resourced and/or isolated seniors through Community Development**. They will facilitate supporting the health and well-being of seniors by collaborating with other community programs and resources to **empower seniors to contribute to their communities by connecting them with resources**.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education and/or lived experience in a well-being related field, such as community development, education, recreation therapy, social work, nursing occupational therapy
- Undergo Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector
- Community Development experience
- Proficient communication and collaboration skills
- Vehicle required; valid Class 5 driver’s license and $2 million liability insurance
- Experience working with older adults and volunteers is an asset
- Have a clear understanding of inclusive, anti-oppressive practice
