ng that our families are walking in two worlds, the Indigenous and non-Indigenous is imperative for the Family Cultural coordinator position so ensure that we are providing the correct supports where needed, in a non-judgmental, kind, safe and understanding way. The Family Cultural Coordinator will make connections to other FRNs and community partners, book times for teachings, ensure resources, supports and knowledge is made available to our non-indigenous partners. By providing the correct supports, etc. the coordinator is supporting our partners to be stronger and more understanding as well as to support them to become stronger allies moving forward. *Responsibilities:* - Work with staff and community partners to establish and/or maintain their connection to Indigenous culture, history, and the community through bookings and connections to other resources. - Connect to partners, meet with them discuss what we can offer and how we can offer teachings, etc. - Provide opportunities to support staff, partners, and families with opportunities to learn about Indigenous culture, connecting them to ceremonies when requested. - Book times so the youth/children will have opportunities that will allow them to feel connected to culture through ceremony. - Establish strong relationships with families, youth, children, and community partners. - Link families, community partners to resources for continued learning opportunities. - Connect the Family Cultural Support to provide the right Indigenous Cultural teachings for our staff, participants, and partners. - Completion of contact notes and data entry when necessary. - Be willing to work some evenings and/or weekends when required. *Qualification Requirements*: - Human Services degree or diploma; equivalencies will be considered. - Minimum of 3-5 years’ work-related experience in community - Understanding of the importance of Allyship and how to grow this. - Experience with conflict resolution. - Knowledge in the Indigenous culture and traditions. - Experience working with Indigenous families and communities. - Database experience is an asset. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Must have a valid driver’s license and willing to obtain drivers abstract. - Must have 2-million-dollar liability insurance coverage. - *Must provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector and Intervention Record Check (within a 6-month period from date of completion).* - Paid sick and wellness days after 3 months’ probation (pro-rated) *Start Date:* This position is to start as soon as possible. * 34.5 hours per week. This position is a 2 year contract, with the possibility of extension.* *Schedule*: Day shift Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract Contract length: 24 months Pay: $3,952.64-$4,150.27 per month Benefits:
