Sharing knowledge of supports, resources, cultural connections and teachings in a non-judgmental, kind, safe and understanding way is imperative to the position. The FCSW will share information, teachings, and knowledge to help our non-indigenous partners become stronger, more understanding and support them to become stronger allies moving forward. *Responsibilities* - Work with children, youth and families and staff to establish and/or maintain their connection to Indigenous culture, history, and the community. - Facilitate and provide teachings to our partners in a kind non-judgmental way. - Provide families and staff with creative opportunities to learn about Indigenous culture, connecting them to ceremonies and community when requested. - Create cultural teachings for the youth/children that will allow them to feel connected to culture. - Establish strong relationships with families, youth, children, and community partners. - Link families, community partners to resources for continued learning opportunities. - Facilitate Indigenous Cultural teachings for our staff, participants, and partners. - Completion of contact notes and data entry when necessary. - Be able and willing to work in a drop-in setting when required. - Facilitate to either small or larger groups - Be willing to work some evenings and/or weekends when required. - Attend staff meetings - Attend monthly supervisions *Qualification Requirements* - Human Services background - Minimum of 3-5 years’ work-related experience in community - Trained in facilitation for small and larger groups. - Understanding of the importance of Allyship and how to grow this. - Experience with conflict resolution. - Knowledge in the Indigenous culture and traditions. - Experience working with Indigenous families and communities. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Must have a valid driver’s license and willing to obtain drivers abstract. - Must have 2-million-dollar liability insurance coverage. - *Must provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector and Intervention Record Check (within a 6-month period from date of completion).* - Salary plus monthly auto allowance. - Paid sick and wellness days after 3 months’ probation (pro-rated) - Working approximately 34.5 hours per week *Start Date:* This position is to start as soon as possible. *Job Type*: Full-time - 34.5 hours per week. *This position is on a 2 year contract with the possibility of extension.* *Schedule:* Day shift *Ability to commute:* Possible travel throughout the mid and northern part of the province Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract Contract length: 24 months Pay: $3,952.64-$4,150.27 per month Flexible Language Requirement:
