Ottawa, Canada Urbacity Design Build Full time

Urbacity is Ottawa’s premier design build firm, with a focus on major renovations, additions, and new homes. Our aim is to provide comfort and minimize stress for our clients. We concentrate on managing our projects with a high-level of organization and delivering detailed, superior service throughout the design build process.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with quantity take offs, scope of work development, cost estimates, and proposals
- Identify and resolve plan errors and discrepancies in project documents
- Update templates for project documents
- Ensure consistency in project documents and contracts
- Assist with change orders, budget, cost management, construction and labour scheduling
- Coordinate trades, material suppliers, and deliveries
- Gather the necessary measurements, dimensions, and other site information for the project as required
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays
- Conduct regular worksite visits and record all correspondence
- Maintain deficiency lists and address issues promptly

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of Canadian building practices
- Proficiency in construction plan interpretation
- Administrative experience in a construction environment
- Strong residential construction knowledge
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Innovative thinking
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients
- Possess a reliable vehicle for transportation to project sites

Qualification:

- Degree or Diploma in engineering, civil engineering technology, architectural technology or related area of study

and/or
- 3+ years experience in construction project coordination or related field of work

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
