As we continue to grow progressively, Libro is on a mission to find a passionately accountable full-time Small Business Specialist supporting our Haldimand Norfolk region.

This key sales position focuses on activities related to the profitable attraction, maintenance and coaching within in a financial portfolio of commercial and agriculture owners, primarily with < $250,000 in lending and deposits.

The Small Business Specialist works with other members of the sales team to ensure all opportunities are identified and referred to the appropriate retail, business, or wealth representatives to build a full financial relationship with Owners. Through soliciting and maintaining solid business relationships, the Small Business Specialist will grow the size and profitability while using good risk management techniques.

Through a dedicated and comprehensive approach, Owner value is enhanced by providing financial and industry expertise, creative ideas and solutions.

The Epic Human we are looking for will;
Support effective sales management practices as part of the local community, regional and corporate teams.
Provide advice and commercial/agriculture credit expertise to meet the needs of Owners by analysis of financial information and making recommendations based on risk and Libro policy.
Must be fully conversant on all products and services with the ability to provide expert, reliable information and advice.
Provide input for business plans, including targets for new business, fee income, retail referrals, and loan and deposit growth.
Monitor risk areas including both deposit and loans (includes overdrafts and delinquency); manage risks through diligent, timely and proactive financial reviews and awareness of changing economic/marketplace influences and applicable industry trends/data.
Have a strong understanding of the financial environment to provide products and services to meet the business Owner’s needs.
Participate and be involved in community activities or events, promoting Libro Credit Union and demonstrating the company values.

Do you have a a post-secondary degree/diploma with related courses in the area of business finance or agriculture, a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a financial institution, and work experience of 4 to 6 years.
Do you have the demonstrated ability to be proactive in a financial sales environment with the ability to work independently, prioritize duties and handle problem resolution.
