**Area Business Manager Cardio-renal/ Women's Health - Ontario East**
Bayer Inc.’s Pharmaceutical division is undergoing a major transformation in our operating model and customer engagement approach to better serve our patients and customers and achieve ‘Health for All’. Reporting to the Head, Customer Engagement, the Area Business Manager (ABM) is responsible for improving Bayer’s reputation and leadership across Women's Health and Cardio-renal and for delivering top-line targets with effectively leading and managing a customer facing team within these therapeutic areas. The role will have an understanding of the needs of healthcare practitioners and systems within their region, ultimately driving customer and patient centric outcomes while ensuring performance goals are met. The role requires extensive collaboration with the Customer Squads, Product Squads, and other stakeholders to drive performance outcomes. The ABM will play an important role in making informed resource trade-off decisions to help achieve optimal profitability and growth for products and area.

**What you will do**:
- Financial / performance outcomes: accountable for achieving revenue goals for the region/territory. Ensure alignment of field tactics with Product Squads to execute comprehensive strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share within region. Work within the financial framework provided by the organization.
- Leadership: Visionary, architect, catalyst and coach. Develop and lead a high performing ‘one team’ approach with a mindset of shared accountability, working in 90 day intervals to achieve long term vision outcome. Responsible for coaching team members to realize full potential and to embrace/leverage an omnichannel approach tailored to customer interests and preferences.
- Responsible for regularly assessing optimal field resourcing (size, geography, territory) based on market needs.
- Provide product and customer squads with strategic field intelligence to improve and optimize plans of action.
- Collaboration: define strategy and priorities in collaboration with the Product Squad. Dynamically allocate resources to maximize impact. Sets, executes and measures market-based objectives for the portfolio.
- Architect the evolution of our customer facing teams and their transition from a traditional pharma territory model to cross
- functionally integrated, entrepreneurial units. The individual will need to guide and enable the new ways of working including local market driven business planning, 90-day missions, shared objectives and accountability, dynamic ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Customer Relationships: Develop long term relationships with key customers to uncover partnership opportunities. Understand customers business needs and effectively and compliantly communicate value proposition. Ensure optimal customer engagement through well executed multichannel and educational approach customized to needs of HCP.
- Recruit, retain, motivate and develop high performing team to their full potential.
**Who you are**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business / Science or related field
- Experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical / biotech Marketplace, awareness of unique systems and / or TL relationships
- 3-5 years people management: required to manage high performers and pull through execution
- Marketing and similar experience asset: to input into strategy
- TA expertise preferred
- Leadership Capabilities: Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach (VACC)
- Demonstrated strength in coaching, mentoring teams / peers: helping others to meet or exceed their goals, targets and other responsibilities
- Strong communication and collaboration with cross functional partners
- Experience in managing budgets, negotiating for resources and maximizing return on investment/impact
- High level of business and financial acumen - ability to identify strategies with greatest business impact within area and across pharma
- Willing and able to travel regularly
- Bilingualism in French/English is a strong asset
