**Maintenance Technician**
**Primary Location**: Onboard MV Isabelle X, alongside in Squamish B.C
**The Company**

BSG customizes services to the exact needs and locations of clients, ensuring that solutions meet precise specifications, including logistics, crew transfers, housekeeping, catering, and the fulfillment of all HSE requirements.
**The Opportunity**
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and safety onboard the Floatel. The goal is to ensure a smooth operation of all equipment, systems and living spaces while adhering to the safety regulations and industry standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
Working with the deck and engine team onboard as well as the Project Manager, you will support and drive the below functions and responsibilities:
- **Equipment Maintenance**:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems onboard.
- Perform repairs and troubleshoot issues with equipment and machinery.
- Keep an inventory of spare parts.
- **Safety Compliance**:
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working and living environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and participate in emergency response drills.
- Identify and address potential safety hazards.
- **Preventive Maintenance**:
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all critical systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- **Record Keeping**:
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- **Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other departments, including housekeeping, engineering, and operations, to address maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, ensuring a quick and effective resolution of issues.
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant trade school education is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in an offshore or marine environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and emergency response procedures.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
**Working Conditions**
- Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
