**Position Scope**

The **Maintenance Planner** will own and maintain the plant maintenance schedule; covering mechanical, fabrication, instrumentation, electrical technicians, and maintenance contractor work. They will administer Work Order scoping, resource estimation, scheduling and allocation. Parts procurement for scheduled/preventative maintenance work orders shall also fall under the responsibility of the Planner with support from the Purchasing department. The Planner will also work with the management team to prioritize work and deconflict scheduled/reactive maintenance with major projects and test campaigns.

**Health, Safety and Environment**
- Ensure all safety critical equipment maintenance is completed on schedule and any additional regulatory reporting is completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain the plant in a safe condition in line with all applicable regulations.
- Identify, report, and resolve unsafe conditions, processes or actions within the workplace.
- Ensure that all safety related incidents, accidents and near misses are reported and investigated in line with company policy.
- Be familiar with the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and associated responsibilities within the plan.
- Contribute to a positive safety culture; report incidents, injuries & property damage and implement preventive/corrective measures as required.

**Responsibilities**
- Function as the single point of focus for coordinating all maintenance and maintenance contractor activities on site; coordinate and communicate these activities with the Duty Operations Supervisor to ensure maintenance is completed in an efficient and frictionless manner with mínimal impact on plant operations.
- Own and maintain the daily, medium term, and backlog schedules.
- Plan and schedule maintenance work orders using Fiix Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software. Develop resource estimates, assign Work Orders, prioritize/hasten tasks and ensure tracking, and facilitate KPI reporting of work.
- Work with the Duty Operations Supervisor to ensure any infield pre-work (LOTO, cleaning, etc.) is completed prior to maintenance technicians beginning work.
- Plan, schedule, and resource MoC (Management of Change) execution, plant shutdown/turnarounds and major installations/upgrades.
- Ensure that equipment run hours, offline hours and other utilization data are populated and tracked in the CMMS accurately.
- Support Reliability Engineering with data analysis and trend identification to optimize the maintenance schedule.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to maintenance schedule, business processes and work procedures to optimize plant reliability, availability, and maintainability.
- Develop and populate asset Bill of Materials within the CMMS.
- Develop Bill of Materials for recurring work orders to minimize the restore time.
- Define scope, book, and co-ordinate external contractors for specialist maintenance tasks. Ensure that contractors complete a site safety orientation and communicate all planned contractor work with the Duty Operations Supervisor.
- Maintain OEM manuals for installed assets/equipment and use these to collate/populate the maintenance schedule.
- Attend MoC engineering reviews to review tasks, labour and LOTO requirements.
- Assist Purchasing team with kitting of parts, setting/reviewing stock levels and managing inventory in support of work order completion.
