Position Scope

As Manager, Maintenance, you lead engineers and technicians in the delivery of the new Innovation Centre maintenance, upgrade and automation activity; as well as additional objectives detailed by your management chain. You focus your team on developing an effective maintenance programme that achieves plant uptime targets; as well as maintaining an agile approach that enables an efficient pace of equipment upgrades. You support the scoping, fabrication and installation of plant modifications and upgrades in support of CE’s process optimization.

Position Scope

As Manager, Maintenance, you lead engineers and technicians in the delivery of maintenance, upgrade and automation activity at CE’s Innovation Centre. You focus your team on developing an effective maintenance programme that achieves plant uptime targets; as well as maintaining an agile approach and an efficient pace of equipment upgrades. You support the scoping, fabrication and installation of plant modifications and upgrades in support of CE’s process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Environment and Safety

Champion a positive safety culture within the Maintenance Team.
Maintain the plant in a safe condition in line with all applicable regulations.
Identify, report, and resolve unsafe conditions, processes, or actions within the workplace.
Ensure the plant is maintained within all environmental legislation limits.

Leadership and Management

Lead the team in delivering effective maintenance output.
Oversee planning and executing of plant turnarounds.
Maintain all plant operating permits; including pressure vessel registrations, gas operating permits and electrical operating permits.
Oversee management of all contractors on site.
Foster and maintain a positive culture within the Maintenance Team; promote effective delegation, a questioning mindset and recognize failure as a learning opportunity.
Mentor engineers and maintenance technicians; support and guide them in their professional development.
Drive the ongoing growth of Maintenance Team skills and experience through a range of training and development opportunities.

Technical

**Develop a maintenance program implementation roadmap that**:
Achieves plant uptime targets.
Maintains the agility to rapidly execute a high volume of modifications and upgrades in line with CE Innovation Centre’s mission as a R&D facility.
Sets and maintains appropriate inventory levels for spare parts.
Tracks and reports appropriate data to determine ‘bad actor’ trends and other reliability insights.
Uses KPIs to measure and optimize maintenance programme efficiency.
Implement predictive tools such as non-destructive inspection, vibration monitoring and health monitoring as appropriate.
Use plant reliability data to maintain and update asset criticality and spares inventory levels.
Grow and develop the CMMS system to optimize equipment reliability and availability, and efficiency of labor effort.
Ensure that best practice is identified and implemented for maintenance planning, execution, review and data analysis.
Identify, capture and communicate lessons learned and implement solutions where appropriate.
Own and periodically review Reliability and Maintenance Philosophies, and Maintenance Business Processes.
Implement and oversee a Root Cause Analysis process to administer and track technical fault investigations and implement corrective actions.
