Assistant Town Clerk

**Job Summary**:
**Duties**:
- Creating meeting agendas and documenting meeting minutes
- Interpreting/Indexing land records
- Managing Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Preparing Municipal elections/By-elections
- Public service and support to town residents
- Advising Council of its legislative responsibilities
- Preparing Budgets
**Qualifications**:
- 3 to 5 Years Related work experience
- Completion of University Degree/College Diploma in Business Administration or Finance
- Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong Multitasking Skills
- Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in computerized systems for data entry and file management
- Prior experience in an Municipal office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of Town Manager Software is a plus
- Ability to handle residents inquiries with professionalism
Pay: $17.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
