**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
We are looking for a detail oriented, organizational wizard to join our team as our **_AR & AP Clerk_**_ _**Reporting directly to the Controller, the AP & AR Clerk will be manage and coordinate accounts receivable and payable activities, oversee auditing, and generate / compile accounting reports.
- Key Responsibilities:_
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
- Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
- Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges, credits, and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices.
- Assists with preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
- Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Identifies and assists with resolution of account discrepancies by investigating documentation
- Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
- Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
- Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Makes deposits at bank, if and when required.
- Adhere to and embrace the company's Core Values and Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by following best practices and adherence to standard work documentation.
- Additional duties as assigned.

- Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
- Experience using financial software is considered an asset.
- Good organizational, data entry, and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team player that takes initiative
- General mathematics skills.
- Skilled in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to report research results clearly, effectively and in a timely manner.
