**Job Overview**

This posting is for our West Ritchie and Bountiful Farmers Market locations.The Cafe Manager at ACE Coffee Roasters plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily cafe operations, maintaining quality and service standards, and supporting the development of your team within the company. This role involves mentoring, coaching, and guiding Lead Baristas, ensuring they excel and are prepared for future responsibilities. The Cafe Manager works directly with our Operations Manager.

**Responsibilities**

**Training and Development**:

- Collaborate to enhance training skills.
- Receive ongoing training in coffee to contribute to coffee quality assessments.
- Act as a mentor to your team, guiding them in shift management and coaching skills.
- Observe and assess their ability to handle day-to-day challenges and maintain ACE standards.
- Facilitate their learning of coffee rotation and order management to ensure redundancy and flexibility.

**Operational Support**:

- Spend four days a week at the bar, assisting at locations as needed to maintain high-quality service.
- Oversee coffee orders, checking and assisting Lead Baristas as part of training.
- Monitor and track expenses, providing a monetary perspective on waste and efficiency.
- Analyze labour reports to optimize staffing and operational efficiency.

**Administrative Duties**:

- Prepare weekly reports, including updates to cleaning lists and documentation.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and implement business opportunities.
- Address wastage, labour costs, and other operational aspects with a keen focus on improvement.
- Ensure to monitor location’s weekly schedule and provide feedback to HR for further adjustments.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in restaurant management or hospitality is required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using POS systems for order processing and inventory management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
