**Job Summary**

Reporting to the Director GTA BAS, the Construction Manager is a team leader directing field and office staffs. The Construction Manager will assist with site coordination support and creative problem resolution for internal and external clients. Oversee day-to-day activities of a building technology construction portfolio, driving team productivity and balancing the teams’ financial goals while ensuring customer satisfaction. Oversee and develop training for employees. Responsible for assigning team action items, driving operational excellence through established work cadence and communication, and ensuring all work is to the highest standard.

**Responsibilities**
- Mentor the Project Managers, Application Specialists and Field Technicians.
- Lead the efforts of the construction team to ensure productivity, consistency and quality.
- Set and monitor goals for overall team growth and profitability.
- Review WIP, project flow charts and PM flow charts on a regular basis.
- Provide technical mentorship on projects
- Drive Labor and Material Growth
- Manage Project forecasts and actuals reporting.
- Manage employee recruitment, career progression, training, discipline, and dismissals.
- Review and Manage material and equipment stock with the administrative team.
- Review and Manage Safety performance expectations and metrics. Be part of the JHSC.
- Be a positive influence on office culture.
- Manage and approve employee expenses.
- Confirm and verify prevailing wage rates and regulations

**Qualifications**:

- 8+ years of previous experience as a Project Manager, Operations Manager, or in a leadership role.
- Must have sound working knowledge of HVAC and BAS Systems.
- Experience working with MSI, RTLS, Security and other healthcare technologies considered an asset
- Strong training and presentation skills.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organization skills.
- A good understanding of Ainsworth products and services
