Fraser River Paint & Body Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our organization, you'll oversee financial operations and contribute to our continued success. This role will report to the President & Owner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain organized and accurate records through systematic filing and documentation.
- Oversee the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments and adherence to company policies.
- Manage customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable aging, and implement collection strategies to minimize outstanding balances.
- Generate and distribute invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile company bank accounts to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
- Handle all aspects of government remittances including PST, GST, Payroll, and Corporate Tax Installments, ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines.
- Process payroll for employees, including deductions, bonuses, and benefits administration.
- Oversee timekeeping systems to accurately track employee hours for payroll processing.
- Coordinate and manage insurance renewals, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with company policies.
- Facilitate the management of ITA apprenticeship programs, including registration, reporting, and compliance.
- Manage and process WorkSafeBC claims, including reporting incidents, coordinating with insurers, and implementing safety protocols.

**Duties**:

- Utilize Sage accounting software proficiently to manage financial transactions and produce accurate financial reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial goals.
- Conduct periodic financial audits to ensure compliance with regulations and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for management and external stakeholders.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Strong leadership and management abilities.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
