**Role Description**:
This role is particularly designed for **Counsellors with a focus on Problem Gambling Programs**. Working under clinical supervision, you will be integral in conducting intake assessments to understand clients' gambling behaviors, developing tailored treatment plans, and providing supportive counselling through individual sessions, group therapy, and educational workshops. The position involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to offer holistic client care, continually assessing and adapting treatment strategies to meet recovery goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct detailed intake assessments to evaluate the severity of clients' gambling addiction.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aimed at addressing specific client needs and objectives.
- Deliver counselling services through individual sessions, group therapy, and educational workshops, emphasizing gambling addiction recovery.
- Work collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans to better serve their recovery journey.
- Maintain confidential client records, adhering to both organizational and regulatory standards.
- Remain abreast of the latest developments in gambling addiction treatment, integrating new insights and practices into client care.
- Community travel involved, with a mix of individual and group counselling sessions.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, with at least 2 years of experience.
- Specialization in gambling addiction treatment is a strong asset.
- Profound understanding of gambling addiction and its effects on individuals and families.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic and non-judgmental approach to counselling.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment methodologies for addiction, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
- A Criminal Records Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening is mandatory for all clinical positions at PAARC.

**Working Hours**: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Wednesday, 12:30 pm - 8:00 pm.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $46,595.00-$55,084.00 per hour
