**Role Description**:
As a **Community Withdrawal Management Youth Counsellor focusing on Opioid-Specific Programs**, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team. This role is dedicated to supporting **clients ages 16-24** through the withdrawal process within the community or requiring stabilization, involving assessments, treatment planning, counseling, case management, and community outreach/education.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct intake, screening, and comprehensive withdrawal management screening using established tools.
- Assess home environments to support the client’s withdrawal process within the community.
- Develop evidence-informed care plans with clients, including holistic crisis and communication plans.
- Provide ongoing supportive counseling, case management, including crisis intervention and stabilization.
- Facilitate structured content and process groups, utilizing technology to improve access and care responsiveness.
- Engage in respectful advocacy, helping clients understand their treatment options and rights.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, following the Social Workers and Social Service Workers Code of Ethics.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary degree or post-graduate diploma in human services from an accredited institution.
- Experience in substance abuse and knowledge of issues related to withdrawal management.
- Non-violent crisis intervention, CPR, and First Aid Certification.
- Reliable and efficient transportation for community visits.
- A Criminal Records Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening is mandatory for all clinical positions at PAARC.
**Working hours**: Monday-Friday 8:30 pm
- 4:30 pm
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $46,595.00-$55,084.00 per year
