**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Preparing journal entries for both day-to-day and month-end transactions
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Validate and process monthly expense reports
- Monthly GST/PST Reports
- Submit government regulatory reports such as surveys to Statistics Canada
- Full accounting cycle of smaller scale related companies
- Assist in preparing reports in order to evaluate financial performance of the companies
- Assist in the month end close and year end close process (preparation of summary schedules and associated backup)
- Ad Hoc analysis/tasks

**Requirements**:

- The successful applicant will be highly organized, have strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task as well as prioritize and understand the importance of attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Work experience in the accounting field
- Good understanding of principles of accounting
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Has experience in working with ERP systems and automated accounting systems (Experience with Quickbooks and JD Edwards an asset)
- Bilingual

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $31,155.47-$61,016.77 per year
