College Administrator

**Position Summary**

The Seabird College Administrator serves as the principal Seabird Island Band (SIB) representative and provides administrative management for Seabird College, including relationships with funding and program delivery partners, accrediting bodies, provincial and federal bodies with jurisdiction over Adult Dogwood, grants, contracts, and fund-raising activities. The incumbent must be proficient in project management, including reporting, data management, review, and evaluation. The incumbent will supervise program staff as assigned, manage project deliverables, and advise the Director of Education (‘the Director’) on College activity and compliance, in adherence to the education and training development mission of Seabird Island Band.

**This is a Term position with an end date of June 30th, 2028, with the possibility of extension.**

**What you’ll do**
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate the delivery of College post-secondary and continuing education programs.
- Oversee staff and staff deliverables, including pervasive student support from all.
- Oversee and manage student supports are being provided with fiscal responsibility, as per funding contracts, and that supports are fully documented in the individual student files.
- Establish / maintain institution partnerships and contracts for program delivery external to Seabird College
- Establish, negotiate, and oversee partnership contracts with partnering institutions.
- Manage overall College budget and program budgets.
- Manage and nurture the reporting and partnering relationship with funding partners.
- Oversee and ensure accurate and timely data management, in ARMS for ESDC, AmpED for all student data, and Ministry of Education data management systems.
- Handle inquiries from students and the public.
- Oversee and manage accurate student files including all necessary documents regarding student progress, funding, attendance, lunches, transportation, and progress. This includes the operation of systems such as ARMS as well as paper-based records.
- Prepare documentation for reporting, compliance reviews and evaluations

**What you bring**

**Education**
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in education or in a discipline such as social science or business administration is required.

**Experience**
- 3-5 years of continuous and related experience or comparable experience in administration and management, preferably related to vocational training and education delivery.
- Experience with budgets and reporting requirements
- Experience in program development and measuring program effectiveness.
- Ability to be a positive role model for staff and students and inspire high academic achievement.
- Ability to interact effectively with a variety of personality types.
- Demonstrated leadership and administrative achievements.
- Ability to work independently and resolve problems.
