**JOB DESCRIPTION - Outbound Transportation Lead**
**(Maternity Leave Contract Position - 12-15 months)**
**1. JOB IDENTIFICATION**
**Job Title: Outbound Transportation Lead**
**Department**:Transportation
**Reports to**:Operations Manager, Outbound
**2. JOB PURPOSE**
Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, Outbound, the Outbound Transportation Lead will support the policies and procedures of Domain Logistics while supporting the Outbound Transportation Coordinators. They will be responsible for providing administrative support for all outbound transportation related requirements. They will also be required to interact with the client and carrier partners on behalf of Domain.
**3. SCOPE**
- Provide support to Outbound Transportation Coordinators on all daily responsibilities, systems, and processes.
- Provide adequate training on all policies and procedures.
- Identify areas for process improvement.
- Analyze data and identify trends to better understand and develop new opportunities.
- Communicating with our internal team, client, and carrier partners through various channels
- Manage incoming inquiries and provide appropriate solutions.
- Tracking/documenting infractions, and resolutions.
- Aid in resolving shipping and delivery discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute various daily and weekly reports.
- Outbound transportation scheduling and monitoring
- Assist in the invoicing and reconciliation process for all outbound carrier related invoices.
- Follow all workplace regulations, guidelines, policies, and initiatives.
- Additional duties as assigned.
**4. EDUCATION/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES**
- Education or work experience in Logistics and Supply Chain preferred.
- Previous experience in a supervisor or team leader.
- Previous customer service experience; preferably in warehouse/distribution setting.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software (Strong Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint knowledge is required)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, at all levels (at all levels of the Company, and externally, with the client and customers).
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and good time management skills.
- Ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and ad-hoc assignments as they arise.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems would be considered an asset.

This position will be in an office environment.
**Physical Demands**
This is an office position that requires sitting at a desk for prolonged periods. Repetitive use of computer.
**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**
This is a full-time position. This position requires flexibility and may require occasional hours outside of regular work schedule and/or weekends. Shift days and times may be changed based on business requirements.
